Today’s worship was held at St. Luke’s Lutheran, in Ridgeway.  All six congregations worshipped together to welcome Bishop Carla Blakley, who was just elected Bishop at the Eastern Synod Assembly last June. We were also privileged to hear the Bishop read the Gospel and deliver the sermon today. The video and transcript link below is provided for those who could not attend the service today. Following the service a bountiful and delicious luncheon was served. Welcome Bishop Blakley!

The Transcript of the Gospel and Sermon

While cleaning out the basement of our church recently, this water colour painting was found among the clutter. It measures about 40 inches by 33 inches. There is nothing on it to identify the artist or when it was painted. If you have any ideas about it’s origin, please leave a comment in the comment box below. Thank you.

REMEMBER – Next Sunday, there will not be a service at St. Matthew’s. Instead, a Bishop’s worship service will be held at St. Luke’s, 245 Prospect Point Rd. N, Ridgeway, at 11:15 am. All are welcome, with a light lunch to follow.
