St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Welcomes You!

In view of the increasing case counts of COVID-19 in Ontario and the Niagara Region, along with the uncertainty surrounding the Omicron variant, it is with heavy hearts that council has decided once again to cancel in-person worship beginning on December 24, 2021. We hope to resume in-person worship in February 2022, and in the meantime will do our best to provide meaningful worship for everyone through our website. Please check our website for new updates:
More information about the cancellation and this upcoming Sunday worship service can be found HERE

Bishop Pryse’s Message Regarding Suspension of All In-person Worship and Gatherings Effective January 3, 2022

NOTE: Starting on Sunday, October 31 all people attending in-person worship must show proof of full vaccination (except for children under 12, and people with a medical exemption.) This requirement allows us to remove capacity limits and include congregational singing in worship! Please keep in mind that even before the pandemic our average attendance was about 30% capacity, so we have plenty of room for everyone.

These changes are not a full return to normal! Masks must still be worn by everyone, communion will continue to consist of bread only, and non-contact gestures will remain in place.
