HUPPUNEN, Saara (Nousiainen) – Saara’s soul was lifted to her
Heavenly Father while her daughters sang by her side at the Welland Hospital on Friday, November 28, 2014 in her 92nd year. Pre-deceased by her husband Kaarlo (1995) and son Yrjo (2014). Loving mother of Irma Watt (Terry), Irene Macklem (Brian) and Mirja Huppunen (Howard). Dear Grandmother of Michael, Timothy, Thomas, Kevin, Kristiina, Aaron, James, and Trevor, and their families. Great grandmother of Emmett, Tyson, Quinten, Makenna Saara, and Koston. Dear sister of Elisabet and Raakel (both of Finland). Saara will also be lovingly missed by her many nieces and nephews in Finland. Friends will be received by the family at the JAMES L. PEDLAR FUNERAL HOME , 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill on Wednesday, December 3rd. from 1-3 pm and 6-8 pm. A celebration of life to honour Saara’s life will take place at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, 57 Griffith Street, Welland at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 4th. Interment at 4:00 pm, Pelham Friends Church Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Arthritis Association. Online condolences may be placed at www.pedlarfuneralhome.ca. A donation to Pelham Cares has been made by Pedlar Funeral Home. Proudly giving back to the community
