MEDOVARSKI, Mr. Andrew –  It is with profound sadness the family of Andrew Medovarski announce his passing at his residence on August 12th, 2015 at the age of 91. Devoted husband of Judith (Kovacs). Cherished father of Andrea (Owen). Tata will be sadly missed by his only grandchild Evan. Andrew was born on May 25, 1924 in Békéscsaba, Hungary. At a young age, he moved to Welland where he established himself and was the proud owner of Andy’s Tailor Shop on King Street. He enjoyed serving his community and did so until his retirement at the age of 80. He also found time in his busy lifestyle to be a Volunteer Fire Fighter for Company #2. In accordance with Andrew’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, 57 Griffith St., Welland, on Tuesday, August 18th, 2015 at 11 a.m. For those who wish to send condolences, donations to the St. Elisabeth Foundation or St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church will be gratefully appreciated by the family.12964204
