EBERT, Rudolf “Rudy” – Passed away peacefully, in his 84th year, at the Welland Hospital on Saturday, January 31, 2015, two days after celebrating his 60th wedding anniversary with his beloved wife Sylvia (nee Rumpel). Cherished father of Debbie Blanchard (David), Terry Lochhead (Mike) and Kimberly Ross (Chip). Proud grandfather of Cheryl Metcalf (Mat), Paul Blanchard (Roxanne), Allison Lochhead-Marshall (Curt), Scott Blanchard (Sarah), Courtney Ross, Lauren Ross and great-grandfather of Lillie, Charlotte, Abby, Aprilynn, Bridget and Autumn. Predeceased by his parents Adolf and Olga Ebert, brothers Ertmann and Eric and sister Erna. Rudy retired from General Motors after over 25 years of service. He was a long time member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Tuesday, February 3rd from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Pastor Jukka Saarinen will conduct the Funeral Service in the Cudney Chapel on Wednesday, February 4th at 11 a.m. followed by interment in Overholt Cemetery.
