WANNEFRIED, Ida (nee Nassut) – Passed away peacefully at Heidehof Home for the Aged in St. Catharines on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Gustav Albert Wannefried (1998). Cherished mother of Debbie Stirling and Edith Wood (Larry). Loving Oma of Cindy Brown (Daryl), David Wood (Lori), Sara Stirling, Kelsey Stirling, great-Oma of Lindsay McKeen (Dave), Tyler, Emily, Joshua and great-great Oma of Ryder. Dear sister of Martha Fittkau (late Bruno), Meta Heppner (late Gus) and Edith Scholz (late Ernest). Also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents Albert and Mina Nassut, son Harry Wannefried and his wife Anne, sister Herta Mueller (Wilfred) and brother Alfred Nassut (Wanda). Ida was a long time member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Welland and a former member of Club Reingold. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the H.L. CUDNEY FUNERAL HOME , 241 West Main Street, Welland on Monday, September 15th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Pastor Jukka Saarinen will conduct the funeral service in the Cudney Chapel on Tuesday, September 16th at 11 a.m. followed by interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.
