Frank passed away suddenly on September 26, 2024 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital.
Frank is survived by his best friend and wife of 66 years, Beryl; his two sons and their spouses, Bruce (Suzanne) and Brian (Cathy), 8 grandchildren (Kathryn, Mackenzie, Karon, Kandiss, Krystian, Celia, Samantha, Brandon) and 6 great grandchildren. Frank is predeceased by his father (Bert), Mother (Grace) and brothers (Vern and Bill).
Frank spent his career in the transportation industry, including trucking, intermodal freight forwarding and Canada/U.S. cross-border policy advocacy. In recent years he has been actively involved in the Lutheran Church, Democrats Abroad, and was committed to maintaining connections with childhood friends, former business associates and family. Frank spent most days calling, emailing and visiting friends and looked forward to weekly breakfast and lunch get togethers.
Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to PASSFIELD MORTUARY SERVICES (905) 682 0474. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 5, 2024 at 1:00 pm at St. Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Church, 57 Griffith Street in Welland. Following the service there will be a reception in St. Matthews’ Fellowship Hall. Frank’s family would like to thank the medical team at the Niagara Falls Hospital Intensive Care Unit for their compassionate and professional care.
