TEMPLAIN, Shirley Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Portal Village in her 98th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Herbert. Much loved mother of Alan (Kathy) and Ross (Betty) and cherished grandma of Sherri, Mark (Michelle), Amy (Darryl), Andrew (Natasha), Sarah (Jesse) and Brock (Nikki). Dear great-grandma of Valerie, Addison, Madden, Bennett, Blake, Caleb, Keira, Tyler and Kieran. Loving aunt of George Demery, Alice Carter, David Carter, George Davis, Jim Davis and Bonnie Joy Lambert. She will be forever missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Shirley was a long time member of St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and later a faithful member of Port Colborne BIC Church. The family extends sincere thanks to the staff of Portal Village and Dr. Rungi for their care and compassion over the last years. Cremation has taken place with arrangements entrusted to the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne. Shirley’s family will receive friends at the Port Colborne BIC Church, 10641 Hwy#3 West on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the funeral service following at 1 p.m. There will be a burial of her cremated remains in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery following a reception. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Port Colborne BIC Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario. Online condolences available at http://www.armstrongfuneralhome.ca
