Sometime during the past year (2018), a Welland resident found this postcard in a book that he was going donate to a free library. He found it fascinating that the postcard was mailed to Sudbury (in August, 1949) and somehow made it’s way back to Welland. He looked up St. Matthew’s on the internet and noticed that the photo on the postcard matched the same website photo of our church. After leaving a phone message and asking if we would be interested in having the postcard for our archives, he dropped it off at the Church last week (May).
